Welcome to the brothel wars! Your brothel’s popularity is now contingent on how many competing brothels there are. If you want to boost your brothel’s popularity, you now have to takedown other brothels. There are now three levels of popularity; local, regional and national. For now, only the local popularity is relevant. If you want to max out this popularity, you have to take down three brothels.
If you want to takedown a brothel, first you have to find some information about it. At first you’ll have no info, but you can learn a lot like who owns it, who the procurer is, who the brothel’s idol is and who is guarding it. All of this information is vital to taking down a brothel. You can also choose how much money you put into an investigation. The more costly the investigation, the less time it will take.
After you get some information, you can prepare an attack on the brothel. The more information you have, the higher the chance you have of success. Different plans will have different success rates. Smearing someone’s name will be much easier to pull off than kidnapping or murdering the owner.
Each attack will lower the brothel’s popularity, which in turn will lower its status. When you plan to attack, it should be relentless as brothels will slowly regain their popularity if they have their owner, procurer or idol. Once a brothel’s status reaches 0, all of its assets, including the owner, procurer and idol will be sold. At the end of the week you’ll be given the option to buy them if you want to.
